Pho Craze
About This Spot
Stepping into Pho Craze in Pinole feels like entering a familiar nook where the day's pace slows just enough to welcome a moment of comfort. The modest, bustling dining room hums quietly with the gentle rhythm of conversation and clinking utensils, a scene where friends and families settle in with ease, warming against the chill outside. It’s the kind of spot where the staff greets you with genuine attentiveness, and the subtle glow of a TV playing Vietnamese cooking shows adds a touch of homey charm to the space.
Here, the focus is on the craft of simple, soulful Vietnamese cooking — where every bowl and plate carries a story of tradition and care. The air carries the faint, inviting aromas of simmering broth and fresh herbs, setting the tone for a meal that’s both satisfying and thoughtfully prepared. Whether it’s the gentle heat of lemongrass-spiked pho or the crisp edges of perfectly fried spring rolls, each bite offers a textured, layered experience that echoes the liveliness of Vietnamese street food culture without the rush.
Meals often unfold in a relaxed flow: a refreshing start with cool, delicate shrimp spring rolls dipped into peanut sauce, followed by steaming bowls brimming with rich, fragrant broth and tender noodles. There’s a reassuring consistency here, a quiet joy found in returning again and again to flavors that feel crafted just right, alongside the friendly energy of a spot regularly full of loyal locals.
More than just a place to eat, Pho Craze fosters a small community of diners drawn by authentic tastes and warm welcomes — an unpretentious destination that invites you to savor moments as much as meals.

Update: decided to hit our go to spot for pho due to all the rainy weather. Adding some pictures of latest our visit. The kid got beef stir fried noodles. I had the spicy beef and lemongrass pho, while the husband had the beef pho with ribeye and rib. As usual always busy and always delicious! Yum yum yum! So good, love the spring rolls. Always busy and packed with diners.

So good — I would get this again. I tried both the tofu spring rolls and the veggie tofu chow fun. The tofu spring rolls dipped into the peanut sauce was absolutely delish. It was just the right balance of tofu and veggies. The veggie tofu chow fun was also really good. I’ve had the same at Chinese restaurants before and I really love the flat noodles. I was worried that the vegetarian version wouldn’t be flavorful, but I was wrong. I’m so glad that this place has vegetarian options, and both were just so good. I look forward to trying all of the other options too in the future.

The broth here is the best in the Bay. I come here every week and order either the #10 Beef Spice Pho or the #20 Beef short rib rice plate. They have pretty good appetizers and Vietnamese sandwiches. Customer service is amazing and the dining area is always clean. They play really interesting YouTube videos on their TV showing Vietnamese cooking shows too.

The pho broth is here easily one of my favorites in the Bay. I always get the #1 w/ added oxtail. Everything else on the menu like the vermicelli bowls, rice plates and Banh mi’s are all delicious too. Service is great, the front staff are friendly and they all work hard to get everything out to you as fast possible. As long as they’re open, they will always stay on my rotation of restaurants
